Introduction to the Resources
Resources are the hands-on, pragmatic materials within the CLR Tasks. These Resources are designed to support execution of your change strategy. Whether you are an executive sponsor, change leader, consultant or project manager, there is a resource designed to meet your specific needs for executing change.
There are 6 types of resources in the CLR:

Accessing the Resources
Resources are located at the bottom of the Task introduction page. To view the resources for a task, navigate to the desired task and if necessary, scroll to the bottom of the page (see below.) See
Navigating the CLR for more information on navigating the CLR.
Work Steps
Work Steps outline the instructions for achieving the deliverables within the Task, and are specifically designed for project managers of change. The Work Steps define a clear path of execution from start to finish, clearly delineating milestones and measures of progress along the way.
Many organizations use proven project management principles when executing change. The Change Leader's Roadmap honors all of the strengths of solid project management disciplines, yet is adds 2 critical dimensions to the process:
| ■ | The depth and breadth of the resources for executing the process, and |
| ■ | The level of flexibility required to navigate complex processes like transformation. |
So while the Work Steps support project management approaches that may already exist in your organization or in your client's organizations, these next two resources address the issue of flexibility.
Process Questions
Process Questions are designed for a consulting approach to the execution of the Task. Asking process questions of project teams will surface the information needed to design the custom work steps for execution. Process Questions encourage a thinking discipline to be developed and nurtured within change consultants for how they plan, design, and implement the change.
Potential Problems
Potential Problems highlight areas where, in the execution of the Task, roadblocks to success may appear that require course correction to stay on target. Designed for leaders and executive sponsors for change, Potential Problems also addresses the risks associated with under attending, or not attending at all to this Task when you customize your journey through the roadmap.
For more information on customizing your journey through the roadmap, see the additional resource: The Change Leader's Roadmap Checklist.
Info Sheets
Info Sheets provide concise pieces of knowledge that support the execution of the Task. Often used to align project team members to a common vernacular regarding the topics to be addressed in the Task.
Tools
Tools provide the direct support needed for completing the Task. Each tool is supported by at least one Worksheet—and often many more—that can be downloaded electronically, saved, printed, and emailed to any user or project team member. See
Worksheet Instructions for more information on using worksheets.
Articles
Articles reference application of the concepts within the Task.
